Taplio alternatives for founders who want to sound like themselves
Taplio is one of the best-known LinkedIn growth tools. It is not the right fit for every founder. Here are the alternatives worth looking at in 2026, with honest pros, cons and prices.

Taplio is one of the most established LinkedIn tools out there, and for a lot of creators it is a good choice. But founders often come to us after trying it because they want something different: less growth hacking, more of their own voice. If that is you, here is an honest look at the alternatives. Yes, we include our own product, and we tell you where it is not the best fit.
First: what Taplio does well
Taplio combines AI post writing, scheduling, analytics and, on its top plan, lead outreach. Plans start at $39 a month (Starter, which does not include AI writing), $69 a month for Growth and $199 a month for Pro, with lower prices when billed yearly and a 7-day trial. If you want one tool to write, schedule and measure LinkedIn content, it covers a lot.
Why founders look for alternatives
- The AI writes for you. That is fast, but it is also how feeds start to sound the same.
- Growth first, identity second. The tool helps you post more. It does not help you decide who you are.
- Price for the features they actually use. AI writing starts on the $69 Growth plan.
- Billing experience. Some reviews on Trustpilot mention confusion around trials and renewals. The sample is small, so read them yourself.
The alternatives
1. Merkion: for founders who want a system, not a ghostwriter

- Watch out for: reviewers describe its analytics as basic.

3. AuthoredUp: for people who write their own posts
AuthoredUp is a writing editor, preview tool and analytics dashboard, mainly used through a Chrome extension. Its AI assistant is still in beta, so it is built for people who prefer to write themselves.
- Best for: founders who write their own posts and want better formatting and analytics.
- Watch out for: it doesn't help you decide what to say or define your brand.
- Price: $19.95 a month for individuals.
4. Kleo: voice-trained AI writing
Kleo trains on your writing and keeps a knowledge base about you, then writes LinkedIn posts and schedules them.
- Best for: founders who want AI writing that tries hard to match their voice.
- Watch out for: it is one of the more expensive options and reviewers still mention editing time on drafts.
- Price: $99 a month or $999 a year, no free trial.
5. ChatGPT: the general-purpose option
